After dropping out of school, she briefly worked in a food chain. Because she left school during the 10th grade, there was a final break: the mother threw her then 16-year-old daughter out of the shared apartment. At the instigation of her mother, she was undergoing therapeutic treatment at the age of 14, but this was unsuccessful. Pink began using drugs and drinking alcohol regularly. The relationship with the mother became increasingly difficult in the period that followed she lost control of her daughter until there was an open rebellion. For a long time Pink could not cope with the loss of her father, the central figure in her previous life. When she was seven years old, her parents divorced. She later got her high school degree via GED. In her hometown of Doylestown, she attended Kutz Elementary School, Klinger Middle School, and Central Bucks High School West. Her mother, a nurse, is of German-Jewish and Lithuanian-Jewish origin. Her father, a Vietnam veteran, is of Irish descent and ran an insurance company. Pink's parents are Judith Kugel and Jim Moore.
